Submit Your Stories to 'Share Your Love'

pair of rings, 'I've loved you since the moment I met you' and 'I want to be your wife Always' (2006)

SHARE YOUR LOVE
It is an idea that has been at the back of my mind for two years now! A project collecting stories of love for use in art projects and a book! All Love! Your love! Submissions of all love in all languages are welcome! Because the world is full of love <3

It is an evolving project! The final project will be a book! For 2008 selected stories of 'Love' will be used in pieces in my 'Like Wearing a Love Letter' Series) while others will be present in my upcoming solo show ‘Like Wearing a Love Letter’at the Crafthouse Gallery (March 27th to May 4th, 2008) in Vancouver Canada. Further shows are quite possible and potential. While directly related to my work I also *love* love and the idea of collecting stories of love from around the world was just great. I've meant to do this long before I started my Love Letter Series in 2006- where I wrote my own stories of love.

The wide range of love is welcome: platonic, passionate, bitter, pure, joyous, brief, long-term, deep, shallow, unconditional, etc. Love of a partner, a vocation, an idea. A collection of stories of all love.

A bit of biographical info to accompany the story (#'s 1-4, as below) is helpful.

I have a friend of Vietnamese heritage, who was visiting Vietnam for the first time 7 years ago. While she was on the beach she met a dutch guy there who was spontanously traveling across Asia....they got married last June and I was at their wedding in Switzerland.

I told her to send you her love story because it truly is beautiful especially as she elaborates more on details and feelings.
