Merry Christmas!

Frost Flowers found on pinterest
- a strange phenomenon where frost grows from imperfections in the surface ice amid extreme sub-zero temperatures.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

New on Etsy- Gradient Circle Ring

New on Etsy- my Gradient Circle ring. These explore my love of pattern, gradient shape and, of course, circles. A carefully orchestrated gradient of tiny to small to medium to larger circles. Like a snake eating it's tail.
Depending upon mood it can be turned around and worn with small medium or large rings on top
I've made variations of these before locally & in shops- but this is the first time I've listed them online.

Enter to win two new books illustrated by Kevin Stanton

Visit the Heart of Papercuts (Elsa Mora's Blog) and leave a comment to be entered to win two new books illustrated by Kevin Stanton with drawing and laser-cuts.   Winner announced Monday, December 10.
The books are a special edition of Shakespeare's volumes Much Ado About Nothing and Hamlet.

Pretty wonderful.
(And rare? I can't think of any other books with pages and pages of laser cuts. Though if they're out there I'd love to know! )
Visit Kevin's site to see more of his work.

In the Make Kickstarter

In the Make, a beautiful online arts journal filled with impeccably photographed studio visits, is taking their show on the road.    They've started a Kickstarter campaign for an art filled road trip with expanded studio visits along the West Coast- all the way from from Tijuana, Mexico to Vancouver, Canada.

There's just 3 days left to support the project- and some rather lovely art to buy.    So a win-win.   A few of my favourites rewards are below.

Limited edition print of “The End” illustration by Wendy MacNaughton.

Very limited edition print (only 9 available) of “Day 194” from Michelle Blade’s series 366 Days of the Apocalypse. Michelle’s watercolor paintings investigate existential mysteries and the unknown. 9x12 inches, Archival pigment print

An original photograph by artist Klea McKenna (also an IN THE MAKE founder and photographer). This circular image from her series Volcano Watchers. Is a vividly colored vision of a forest landscape. Original chromogenic photograph, 20 x 20 inches.
