Helen Britton

A dreamy brooch from Australian artist Helen Britton, one of my favourite jewellers.

Her work is full of cohesive & engaging unique little worlds.

I love: the vintage 'period' feel that is nonetheless decidedly modern, the subtle gradiating color palette, and the delicate hand drawn details. Even the photograph is flawless.

This brooch (as is much of her work) is high on the list for my dream collection.

And this ring is right next to it on the list. One day!
'Untitled Ring' for sale on klimt02 - a rare chance to buy her work online.

Update on 100th Purchase Surprise Gift!

I've passed the 100th purchase on Etsy (at 108 actually) so, of course, the surprise present for the 100th Purchase is in the works! A lovely person from Australia bought a Bubble Lace Ring 2 as the 100th purchase. So while working on her ring I'll thinking about her surprise!

Poppytalk Handmade is Up!

The new site Poppytalk Handmade is now online (well, it has been for a few days). And it's already garnered some nice mentions on Free People Blog, Cake And Milk Paperie Blog and DesignSponge (among others).

My page has just been updated with a bio and links. I'll also be periodically updating the work so pop pack to see more new work.

Many clever people are featured in this months market including: lovely pottery by Alyssa Ettinger, Jessica Rust and Diana Fayt (whose work I adore), wearables and paper goods by Boygirlparty and jewelry by Megan Auman & Julie Lake.

Ninety Eight Pieces Sold On Etsy

I've sold ninety eight pieces on Etsy. Two more to go to the 100th sale and I've decided to give the 100th person a surprise present of jewelry!

Because sometimes a surprise is nice.

Even I don't yet know what it will be. I'll base it according to what they buy.
